All Courtesy Lamps Inoperative
Possible Causes are:
- FUSE NO. 8 BLOWN
- CIRCUIT NOT SHORTED
- FUSED B+ CIRCUIT OPEN
- FUSED B+ CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
- BCM
- Turn ignition off. Remove and inspect fuse No. 8. Is the fuse blown? If yes, go to next step. If no, go to step 3 .
- Turn ignition off. Remove fuse No. 8 from the Junction Block. Measure the resistance of the Fused B+ circuit (upper cavity of fuse No. 8) to a known-good ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, repair the Fused B+ circuit for a short to ground and replace the blown fuse. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, replace blown fuse No. 8. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- Turn ignition off. Remove fuse No. 8 from the Junction Block. Remove the driver's side rear seat overhead reading lamp lens cover. Measure the resistance of the Fused B+ circuit between Fuse No. 8 (top cavity) and the Rear Passenger's overhead reading lamp (Fused B+ side). Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, go to next step. If no, repair the Fused B+ circuit for an open. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS.
- If there are no possible causes remaining, replace BCM (Body Control Module). Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST VER 1 under VERIFICATION TESTS.
