Alarm Trips On Its Own

Possible Causes are:

  1. Using the DRBIII(R), read the Alarm Trip By status. Were there any causes displayed? If yes, refer to appropriate test for problems related to the component indicated by the DRBIII(R). Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST 1A  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, go to next step.
  2. The condition that caused the alarm is not present at this time. The following list may help in identifying the intermittent condition.
    • Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply.
    • Visually inspect related wiring harnesses. Look for chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
    • Visually inspect the related wiring harness connectors. Look for loose connections, broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.

Were any of the conditions listed present? If yes, repair as necessary. Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST 1A  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If no, test is complete.
