Power Door Locks
Power door locks are locked and unlocked using different methods. All doors can be manually locked and unlocked using front door lock switches. Doors can also be remotely locked and unlocked using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter. When lock button on RKE transmitter is pressed, all doors will lock. When RKE transmitter unlock button is pressed one time, left front door will unlock. When RKE transmitter unlock button is pressed a second time, all other doors will unlock.
Auto (rolling) door lock feature will automatically lock all doors when vehicle speed exceeds 15 MPH and all doors are closed. Auto unlock on exit feature automatically unlocks all doors when driver's door is opened if vehicle is stopped and transmission is placed in Park or Neutral position. Auto unlock on exit feature is available only when auto door locks feature is activated. These optional power door lock and unlock features can be programmed into system using overhead console.
A door lock inhibit feature protects against locking vehicle when key is still in ignition. When key is in ignition and in the OFF position, and either front door is opened, lock switch on that door is disabled.
