Tailgate Does Not Trip VTSS

Possible Causes:

• Tailgate Ajar Switch Circuit
• Body Control Module

Testing

NOTE: The VTSS must arm properly for the result of this test to be valid.
1. Open the Liftgate. Does the DRBIII(R) display CLOSED? If yes, replace the Body Control Module. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)  in REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  . If no, see TAILGATE AJAR CIRCUIT OPEN  in DOOR AJAR. Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST  .
