Fuel Pressure Regulator: Removal

The fuel pressure regulator is located in the fuel tank. It is attached to the bottom of the upper section of the fuel pump module with a quick-connect fitting. See Fig 1. The fuel pump module is supplied in 2 sections (upper and lower). To replace the pressure regulator, the bottom section of the fuel pump module must be replaced.

1. Remove upper and lower sections of fuel pump module from fuel tank. See FUEL PUMP MODULE .
2. Replace lower section of fuel pump module (includes fuel pressure regulator).
