Fuel Level Sensor: Liberty

The fuel gauge sending unit is a separate part of the lower fuel pump module section. Fuel gauge sending unit may be serviced separately. To test the fuel gauge sending unit, the only the upper section of the fuel pump module. See REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article. Measure the resistance across the sending unit terminals. With float in the up position, resistance should be 20 ohms (+/- 5%). With float in the down position, resistance should be 270 ohms (+/- 5%).
