Courtesy Lights Inoperative - All Lights
Possible Causes:
- Fused B+ Circuit Open
- Instrument Cluster - Courtesy Lamp Open
- Courtesy Lamp Feed Circuit Open
- Intermittent Condition
Testing
- Remove dome light cover. Ensure dome light bulb is okay. Using a test light connected to ground, probe Pink/White wire connector. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open Pink/White wire between dome light and fuse No. 24 (10-amp) in Power Distribution Center (PDC), located in right side of engine compartment, next to battery.
- Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Connect jumper wire between instrument cluster harness connector C2 terminal No. 5 (Yellow wire) and ground. If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, replace instrument cluster.
- Remove jumper wire. Check resistance of Yellow wire between instrument cluster henries connector C2 terminal No. 5 and dome light connector. See If resistance is 5 ohms or more, repair open circuit on Yellow wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, problem does not exist at this time. Check for intermittent condition.
