Body Verification Test
NOTE:
Secured access is not necessary to check programmed status of key. If Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is replaced, Secret Key data must be transferred from Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) to PCM, using scan tool in secured access mode. If 3 attempts are made to enter secured access mode with incorrect Personal Identification Number (PIN), mode will be locked out for one hour. Turn ignition on for one hour. Ensure battery is not drained during procedure. To program customer keys, see PROGRAMMING
.
- Reconnect all previously disconnected components and connectors. Turn ignition on for at least 15 seconds.
- Ensure ignition is on. Using scan tool, clear all DTCs from all modules. Star engine and allow to idle for 2 minutes. Operate system that was malfunctioning. Turn ignition off. After 5 seconds, turn ignition on. Check for DTCs. If system operates properly, and no DTCs exists, repair is complete. If system is not operating properly, diagnose and repair system as necessary. See SYMPTOM IDENTIFICATION table under SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If any DTCs exist, diagnose and repair system as necessary. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table under SELF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
