Natural Vacuum Leak Detection Assembly: Installation

- Install pump and three mounting bolts (3) to common support bracket. Tighten bolts to 1 N.m (11 in. lbs.) torque. See Fig 1.
- If necessary, install pump filter to common support bracket. Tighten bolt to 7 N.m (65 in. lbs.) torque.
1 - LDP FILTER 2 - COMMON SUPPORT BRACKET 3 - EVAP CANISTER NUTS (4) 4 - EVAP CANISTER 5 - LDP 6 - LDP ELEC. CONNECT. - Install EVAP canister to common support bracket and install four mounting nuts (3). See Fig 2.
1 - EVAP CANISTER 2 - NVLD FILTER 3 - NVLD PUMP 4 - VAPOR LINES 5 - FLOW VALVE 6 - TOP OF FUEL TANK) - Carefully install vapor/vacuum lines to pump, filter and EVAP canister. The vapor/vacuum lines and hoses must be firmly connected. Check the vapor/vacuum lines at the LDP, LDP filter and EVAP canister purge solenoid for damage or leaks. If a leak is present, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set.
- Raise assembly into position while connecting electrical connector to pump. Do not allow this assembly to hang from the wire harness. While assembly is still being supported, connect vapor line (4) to fuel tank. See Fig 3.
- Position common support bracket assembly to body. Install and tighten bolts.
- Install vertical support bracket.
- Install wheelhouse liner at right/rear wheel.
- Install right/rear tire/wheel.
