Crankshaft Position Sensor: Installation: Installation

  1. Install the crankshaft position sensor (2).
  2. Install the crankshaft position sensor bolt (1), and tighten to 5 Nm ( 44 in. lbs).
  3. Reconnect the crankshaft position sensor harness connector.

  4. Install the oil cooler/filter assembly, and install the 4 oil cooler/filter adapter assembly bolts (1). Tighten the bolts in two stages, first to 15 Nm (11 ft.lbs), then an additional 90°.

  5. Install the turbocharger oil supply line support bracket bolt (2), and tighten to 10 Nm (88 in. lb).

  6. Reconnect the oil pressure sensor harness connector (3).

  7. Reconnect the turbocharger oil supply line (1) to the oil cooler assembly. Tighten oil supply line union nut at the oil cooler connection to 22 Nm (16 ft. lb).

  8. Reconnect the coolant supply (1) and return (2) lines to the oil cooler assembly.
  9. Install the dipstick tube.
  10. Install the lower dipstick tube support bracket bolt, and the wiring harness bracket bolt to the oil cooler assembly.

    Install the intercooler outlet tube, and install the bolt (1) to the intercooler outlet tube. Tighten bolt to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs).

  11. Reconnect the boost pressure sensor harness connector (1).

  12. Install the upper dipstick tube support bracket bolt (1).

  13. Reconnect the air inlet hose (1) to the throttle body.

  14. Install the belly pan (4).
  15. Install the battery tray. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  16. Install the battery. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  17. Refill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
