The Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APPS) (6) is attached to the accelerator pedal assembly under the instrument panel.

The APPS is used only with the 5.7L and the 6.1L V-8 engines. The 5.7L/6.1L engines do not use a mechanical throttle cable.
