TANK, Fuel: Installation: Installation

  1. If fuel tank is to be replaced, install fuel pump module into tank. See Installation  .
  2. Position fuel tank to hydraulic jack.
  3. Raise tank until positioned to body.
  4. Install and tighten bolts (1, 2 and 3) . Refer to TORQUE - DIESEL .
  5. Remove hydraulic jack.

  6. Position rubber fill hose (2) to tank fitting (3). Tighten clamp (4).
  7. Connect fuel vent connectors (1) and (5) at rear of tank. See Standard Procedure  .

  8. Connect fuel line connectors (1) and (2) at front of tank (3). See Standard Procedure  .

  9. Connect pump module electrical pigtail connector (1) to body wiring harness connector (2).
  10. Lower vehicle.
  11. Fill fuel tank with fuel.
  12. Start engine and check for fuel leaks near top of pump module.
