Throttle Body: Installation: 5.7L
- Clean and check condition of throttle body-to-intake manifold O-ring (1).
- Clean mating surfaces of throttle body and intake manifold.
- Install throttle body to intake manifold by positioning throttle body to manifold alignment pins.
- Install all throttle body mounting bolts finger tight.
CAUTION: The throttle body mounting bolts MUST be tightened to specifications. Over tightening can cause damage to the throttle body or the intake manifold.
- Tighten throttle body mounting bolts to 5.6 N.m (50 in. lbs.) in the sequence shown in illustration.
- Install throttle body electrical connector.
- Install air cleaner assembly. Refer to Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Installation .
- Connect negative battery cable.
- Using the diagnostic scan tool, perform the ETC Relearn function.
