Pump, Water: Installation: 2.8L

Clean mating surfaces of water pump housing and engine block as necessary.
Place new O-ring in groove in water pump housing.
Install the water pump and the mounting bolts. Tighten the water pump bolts to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.)

Install the inner front cover.

Install the timing belt.

Install the outer front cover (2).
Install the crankshaft damper (1).

Install the upper front cover (2).

Install the lifting bracket.
Install the fan. Refer to FAN, COOLING, INSTALLATION .
Evacuate air and refill cooling system. Refer to PUMP, WATER, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Connect negative battery cable.
Check cooling system for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
