Auto Shutdown Relay - Removal

REMOVAL

The Automatic Shutdown (ASD) relay (1) is located in the engine compartment within the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM). Always refer to the label on the TIPM cover for relay location.

1. Remove the TIPM cover.
2. Remove the relay from the TIPM.
3. Check the condition of the relay terminals and TIPM connector terminals for damage or corrosion. Repair if necessary before installing the relay.
4. Check for pin height (pin height should be the same for all terminals within the TIPM connector). Repair if necessary before installing the relay.
