Four electronically controlled fuel injectors are located on top of the cylinder head. The injectors generate a fine fuel atomization at injection pressures of up to 1, 800 bar (26, 106 psi). Each injector is held in place by a tensioning claw and retaining bolt. A copper seal ring is located on the injector tip to seal off the injector to the combustion chamber. When servicing the injectors, always replace the copper seal ring and the retaining bolt.
