  2. Clean the O-ring sealing surfaces.
  3. Using a new O-ring seal, install coolant temperature sensor (1) and retaining clip.
  4. Install the thermostat housing. Refer to THERMOSTAT, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
  6. Start engine and inspect for leaks.
