Removal And Installation: 2.4L: Installation

CAUTION:

To prevent damage, the power cord must be secured in it's retaining clips, and not positioned so it could contact linkages or exhaust manifold.

Thoroughly clean the engine block heater bore.
Install the engine block heater (2) and the retainer clip (1). Make sure retaining clip (1) is engaged.

Connect the power cord (3) to the engine block heater.
Secure the power cord to the upper radiator inlet hose.
Secure the power cord to the PCM mounting bracket.
Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
