Diesel Engine
CAUTION:
When removing the radiator or A/C condenser for any reason, note the location of all radiator-to-body and radiator-to-A/C condenser rubber air seals. These are used at the top, bottom and sides of the radiator and A/C condenser. To prevent overheating, these seals must be installed to their original positions.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING .
- Recover the A/C refrigerant. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the radiator crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, RADIATOR, REMOVAL

- Loosen the clamp (1) and remove the lower right Charge Air Cooler (CAC) hose (2) from the cooler.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE

- Loosen the clamp (2) and remove the lower left CAC hose (1) from the cooler.
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Remove the right side CAC bolts (1).
- Remove the bolts (2) and the CAC (1).
- Remove the push pin fasteners and the right and left side air deflectors.
- Remove the nuts (3, 5) the A/C lines (2, 4) from the condenser.
- Remove the bolt (1) securing the condenser lines to the radiator.
- On automatic transmission models, remove the bolt (1) and the transmission cooler lines (3) to the transmission cooler (4).
- Remove the bolts and position aside the windshield washer bottle.
- Remove the coolant hose (2) from the fan shroud (1).
- Remove the fasteners (3) and the upper fan shroud (1).
- Remove the four bolts (2) securing the fan shroud (1).
- Disconnect the cooling fan wire harness connector (1).
- Remove the pressurized coolant bottle hose (1) from the radiator.
- Remove the upper radiator hose (2).
- Remove the lower radiator hose (1).
- Lift the radiator up and out of vehicle taking care not to damage radiator fins.
- Remove the bolts (4) and the transmission cooler (5).
- Remove the bolts (3) and the A/C condenser (2) from the radiator (1).
