Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
2. Remove Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tank. Refer to TANK, DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Discard the DEF tank.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the DEF tank. Refer to TANK, DIESEL EXHAUST FLUID, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
2. Using a scan tool, perform DEF Tank Fluid Level Reset  function found under MISCELLANEOUS FUNCTIONS.
3. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
