Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE CONDITION 

1. Test drive the vehicle and operate the Set (+), Set (-), Resume and Cancel functions of the speed control system.
2. Stop the vehicle and turn the ignition off.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.

   Does the scan tool display this DTC as active or pending?

   Yes 

   WARNING:

   Turn the ignition off disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

   WARNING:

   Do not place an intact non-deployed airbag face down on a hard surface, the airbag propels into the air if accidentally deployed. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

   • Replace the Speed Control Switch Assembly in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SWITCH, SPEED CONTROL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .Test drive the vehicle and operate the Set (+) and Resume buttons functions of the speed control system to verify repair.
   • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

   No 

   • Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
