Sensor, Air Temperature, Intake: Removal: 6.2L

The Inlet Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is installed into the rubber air intake hose near the front of the throttle body.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  2. Disconnect the IAT sensor wire harness connector (1).

  3. Lifting up on the lock tab turn the IAT sensor (1) 1/4 turn counterclockwise and remove the IAT sensor from the rubber air intake hose.

  4. Inspect the sensor probe for any damage.
  5. Clean any dirt or debris from sensor base.
