Sensor, Fuel Pressure: Removal

WARNING:

The fuel system is under constant pressure even with engine off. Before servicing the fuel rail, fuel system pressure must be released.

  1. Perform the Fuel System Pressure Release procedure

    Refer to FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL DELIVERY/STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect the Fuel Pressure Sensor wire harness connector (1).
  5. Disconnect the fuel supply hose quick connects (2) and remove the fuel line assembly. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL DELIVERY/FITTING, QUICK CONNECT - STANDARD PROCEDURE .
