Module, Power Inverter: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. Unsnap the upper end of the floor duct (1) from the outlet on the left end of the heater and air conditioner distribution housing. Refer to DUCT, FLOOR DISTRIBUTION, REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the electrical connector from the Power Inverter Module (PIM).

  4. Remove the fastener (1) for the PIM bracket next to the ventilation door motor (2).

  5. Remove the PIM bracket arm fastener (1).

  6. Remove the PIM and bracket from the vehicle.
  7. Remove both upper (1) and lower (2) fasteners to separate the PIM from the bracket.
