Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the battery for installation.

  2. Place the retaining strap and bracket on the battery and tighten the nut (1) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  3. Connect the battery positive terminal to the power box (1) and, tighten to the proper torque specifications, then tighten the nut (2) of the positive terminal and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS . Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  4. Install the plate and tighten the screws (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
    NOTE:

    BUX vehicle shown in illustration, NAFTA similar. The NAFTA market does not  use a second nut (2) on the 150 Amp fuse.

  5. Place the lid of the box power on the positive battery terminal, then engage the retainers.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
