Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Check that the neutral position sensor is not damaged.
  2. Position the sensor then engage the retainers.
  3. Connect the neutral position sensor wire harness connector.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  5. Connect the diagnostic tool. Go to the ECM "Miscellaneous Functions" menu and launch the self learning neutral position sensor procedure.
