Removal And Installation: 2.4L: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Unlock and disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor wire harness connector (2).
- Remove the CKP sensor mounting bolt (3).
- Carefully twist and pull the sensor (1) from the cylinder block.
- The CKP sensor O-ring (1) can be reused if not damaged.
