- The air temperature sensor consists of an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor.
- The resistance offered by the sensor decreases as the temperature increases.
- The control unit input circuit divides the 5 V reference voltage between the sensor resistance and a fixed reference value; in this way it achieves a voltage proportional to the resistance, and thus to the temperature.
