Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the intermediate shaft (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Slide the intermediate shaft coupler over steering gear input shaft.
  3. Slide the intermediate shaft coupler over steering column output shaft.
  4. Install a NEW  intermediate shaft coupler pinch bolt (3) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install a NEW  intermediate shaft coupler pinch bolt (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
