Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

  1. Press the steering column shroud close out tab (1) upwards to disengage it from the steering column shroud and remove the tab (1).
  2. Release the steering column lock lever (2) by placing it in the down position.

  3. Remove the three steering column shroud screws (1).
  4. Pull the lower steering column shroud (3) away from the upper steering column shroud (2) to disengage plastic lock tabs.

  5. Disconnect the Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) wire harness connector (1).
  6. Remove the lower steering column shroud.
  7. Remove the two upper steering column shroud screws.
  8. Tilt the upper steering column shroud upwards then disengage the gap hider and remove the upper steering column shroud.
  9. If replacing the lower steering column shroud remove the ignition control.
