- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to the appropriate service information .
- Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATIONBODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the two Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) pump wire harness connectors and remove the wiring harness routing clips from the EHPS pump.
- With the hose clamp released disconnect the supply line from the EHPS pump and secure the hose end higher than the power steering pump reservoir.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the right front wheel house splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1 - Pump 2 - Bracket Frame Bolts 3 - Pressure Line Bolt 4 - Pressure Line - Remove the EHPS pump pressure line bolt and remove the EHPS pressure line from the EHPS pump.
- Loosen the two power steering pump bracket frame bolts.
1 - Supply Line 2 - Line 3 - Return Line 4 - Pump - With the hose clamp released disconnect the return line from the EHPS pump.
1 - Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) Pump Bracket Nuts 2 - Power Steering Pump - Remove the EHPS pump from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION
During installation, torque the fasteners to the specifications in the torque table(s) below.
Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
- Refill the power steering fluid and bleed the system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
