Left Fuel Rail

WARNING:

No sparks, open flames or smoking. Risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel. Risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing.

  1. Install the fuel rail. Using the (special tool #2025400090, Remover-Installer, Fuel Rail Bolt) (1), tighten bolts to 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.).
    NOTE:

    Fuel tubes must be replaced anytime they are removed.

  2. Install the NEW  fuel tubes. Refer to TUBE(S), FUEL, INSTALLATION .

  3. Position fuel rail return line (2) and connect to fuel rail.
  4. Connect the fuel pressure solenoid wire harness connector (1).

  5. Install the fuel injector silencer (1).
  6. Install the left Charge Air Cooler (CAC) tube.

  7. Install the engine cover (1).
  8. Connect the negative battery cable.
  9. Prime the fuel system. Refer to FUEL SYSTEM PRIMING - DIESEL  .
  10. Start engine, allow to warm, turn engine off and inspect for leaks.
