Sensor, Crankshaft Position: Removal: 3.6L

The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is mounted into the right rear side of the cylinder block.

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  3. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor wire harness connector (1).

  4. Remove the CKP sensor bolt (1).

  5. Carefully twist the CKP sensor and remove from the cylinder block.

  6. The CKP sensor O-ring (1) can be reused if not damaged.
