2 Place vehicle into Customer Mode (all others) Using wiTECH, place the vehicle into Customer Mode by following the Exit Logistics Mode within the Vehicle Prep tab or using the manual procedure below:

  2. Turn on the hazard lamp (a/k/a/ emergency flashers)
  3. Press the "Up Arrow" button on the steering wheel and hold for 5 second
  4. Mode is switched from "Shipping Mode" to "Customer Mode" - the EVIC display will update

B - UNDER THE BONNET

8 Bonnet latch and safety catch - adjust as needed Verify the operation of the bonnet release system including the inside bonnet release lever and the outside hood secondary safety catch. Adjust if necessary. The safety catch prevents the bonnet from going to the full open position until it is manually released. To test the safety catch, unlatch the bonnet with the interior bonnet release lever and attempt to raise the bonnet without operating the safety catch. ?
9 Battery State-of-Charge - document voltage Check the battery state of charge by connecting a digital voltmeter at the jump-start locations. The battery voltage should be at least 12.4 volts (Fiat 500 BEV/Pacifica PHEV -100%). If charging is necessary, follow the service information procedures and recharge the battery. Record voltage on New Vehicle Prep (NVP) form. ?
For international EMEA market vehicles, print the primary battery and/or the ESS auxiliary battery (If equipped) status check result ticket and archive it together with the New Vehicle Prep Check Sheet. Refer to Service Bulletin 08-073-17.
10 Loose Attachments, Routing and Clearance Check routing, connectors, connections and clearance of:
  • brake lines
  • fuel lines
  • power steering lines
  • intake system flexible lines
  • clutch lines
  • coolant lines
  • electric wiring
  • drive belts

11 All Fluid Levels Refer to the Owner Handbook or service information for proper fluid level inspection locations. ?
12 No Fluid Leaks present Visually inspect the area under the bonnet to make sure that there are no fluid leaks. Check clamps for tightness and full engagement ?
C - LOWER VEHICLE PART

13 No Fluid Leaks present Raise the vehicle on an appropriate hoist and check the following: Loose Attachments, Routing Clearance and Damage, Absence of Fluid Leaks. Refer to the appropriate Service Information for proper lift points. Check clamps for tightness and full engagement. ?

19 Engine Starts Only in Park & Neutral Verify engine will only start while automatic transmission is in park or neutral. ?
20 Service and parking brakes Apply the service brakes while the vehicle is in motion. Be sure the brake operation is smooth and positive. Make sure the vehicle stops in a straight line and without pulling to one side. Ensure there is no shudder or vibration when braking. Ensure that the parking brake is easy to operate. Make sure the parking brake does not drag. ?
21 Transmission/brake synchronizer On versions with automatic transmission, make sure that the vehicle only starts when the brake pedal is pressed. ?
22 Control with automatic transmission Make sure that the park lock mechanism holds the vehicle. With the vehicle on a grade, put the automatic transmission in park and slowly release the service brake to check the operation of the park mechanism. Make sure the shift lever operates easily and smoothly. Check for smooth shifting. Check for proper upshifting and downshifting. ?
23 Engine Performance - Cold The engine must:
  • start correctly
  • idle smoothly and at proper speed
  • be free from stumbling or hesitation
  • produce sufficient power
  • be free of unusual noises
  • operate within the proper temperature range and stop when the ignition key is shut off or stop button is pressed.

24 Engine Performance - Hot The engine must:
  • start correctly
  • idle smoothly and at proper speed
  • be free from stumbling or hesitation

25 Steering and Handling Check that the power assist works properly. Make sure that the steering wheel does not vibrate abnormally at idle or road speed. Ensure that the steering wheel is centered when traveling in a straight line. Check that the vehicle does not drift to either side on flat road surfaces. Make sure that the vehicle does not vibrate or shake abnormally. ?
26 Noise, Vibration, Squeaks, or Rattles Check that the vehicle is free of noise, vibrations, squeaks, or rattles. Tighten any loose fasteners. ?
27 Heater / Defrost- Front Check the heater operation after the vehicle has reached operating temperature. Operate blower motor at all speeds. Operate the system in all modes. Check for hot air at all appropriate outlets. Check for temperature control operation. ?
28 A/C Make sure that the A/C system is cooling appropriately. Operate blower motor at all speeds. Check cool air flow from all vents. Operate the system in all modes. ?
29 Rear heater and A/C (where fitted) Check correct operation of rear heater and A/C system. ?
30 Defrost - Rear Make sure that the rear defroster with electric heater works correctly. Switch on all check heating. ?
31 Blind spot monitoring system (where fitted) During a road test, check that the visual indicators on the side mirrors appear correctly when an object is present in the detection zone. ?
32 Cruise Control (where fitted) Check the "on/off" switch. Check the "set" operation. Check the "resume" function. Check the "accelerate" and "decelerate" function. Check the "cancel" button. Check the brake/clutch release function. If equipped, verify operation of Adaptive Cruise Control function. ?
33 Set the compact variance/calculation (where fitted) Refer to the service information on TechCONNECT for information regarding compass setting procedures. ?
34 Tire pressure monitoring system (where fitted) Verify that tire pressure monitoring system warning light is not illuminated when tires are above minimum inflation recommendations. Ensure that warning light is not flashing. ?
35 Transfer Case (where fitted) Shift the transfer case through all ranges to make sure all shifting is smooth and operates properly. ?
36 Load levelling air suspension (where fitted) Use the Selec-Terrain switch to adjust the ground clearance in normal driving conditions. Switch to all selections and check that the air suspension system works correctly. ?
37 Parking Assist (where fitted) Put vehicle in reverse and slowly back up toward an object. Verify that Park Assist warning icon, lights and chimes operate properly as object is approached. ?
38 Back-Up Camera (where fitted) Put vehicle in reverse, verify that screen provides a clear and visible image from rear of vehicle. ?
E - INTERIOR

39 Visually Inspect Interior Parts for Damage, Fit, etc. From the interior of the vehicle, open and close all doors to ensure ease of operation. 41 Rear View Mirror Check that the rearview mirror's day/night function Is operating properly. ?
42 Front and rear washers and wipers Operate the windscreen wipers and, where fitted, the rear wipers and check correct operation at all speeds. Operate the windscreen wipers and where fitted, the rear wipers. Check correct operation and spray pattern. Check correct operation of the wiper flick function. ?
43 All interior door locks including child locks Check all interior door locks for proper operation, including rear child safety door locks if equipped. Place in the unlocked position. ?
44 Steering Wheel Mounted Controls Check all steering wheel controls for proper operation. ?
45 Memory mirror/seat (where fitted) Check correct operation of the memory mirror and seat systems. ?
46 Cigar lighter (where fitted) Check cigar lighter for proper operation. ?
47 Power windows and window lock switch Fully open and close all power windows to ensure proper operation and sealing. Ensure that the windows operate properly at each door. Verify that window lock button is operating properly. Verify the operation of the "One Touch Up/Down" feature if equipped. ?
48 Outside Power Mirrors Check power mirrors for proper operation. ?
49 Heated mirrors (where fitted) Check correct operation of the heated electric mirrors. ?
50 Glove Box Check into the glove box if available informative material like (leaflet, TipCard or similar) to be place on the internal mirror. If yes please proceed (see photo below for leaflet)
51 Seats and Seat Belts - All Adjustments Check for correct installation and operation of seat and shoulder belts, and retractors. Check that the restraint system safety labels regarding the use of seatbelts and airbags are in place. Fully cycle the seats for proper adjustments and verify that each seat is securely mounted. Fold down and latch the rear seats. Pull forward to check that the latches operate correctly. Check for proper head restraint operation. ?
52 Sunroof (where fitted) Run a complete sunroof opening/closing cycle. Make sure that the sunroof opens and closes easily. Check correct operation of the opening/closing function by pressing the button once (where fitted). ?
53 Clock setting Clock setting ?
54 Sound system Switch on the radio and check reception on AM and FM frequencies. Check that the CD player is working correctly. Check that the audio quality is high from all speakers. ?
55 Satellite radio (where fitted) Switch on the satellite radio and check reception. ?
56 Deactivate the front seat video system (where fitted for CT, FL, OK, WV) Use the scan tool to deactivate the front seat video when the vehicle is not in Park position. ?
57 Video system (where fitted) Test the DVD player to make sure that the DVD is loaded correctly and appears on the screen. ?
58 Wireless headset/vehicle remote control (where fitted) Check correct operation of the wireless headset/video remote control. ?
59 Heated steering wheel (where fitted) Restore the correct operation of the heated steering wheel. ?
60 Power socket Check correct operation of all power sockets. ?
61 Integrated child restraint system/seat belt Check correct operation of the child restraint system/seat belt systems. ?

68 Doors, tailgate - Adjust strikers, if needed Open all doors/tailgate from the outside to check operation of exterior handles. Check door stay. Partially close all doors to check the open door stay. Close all doors/tailgate to check operation of locks and strikers. Adjust the strikers, if needed. Check each of use of the tailgate. ?
69 Electric tailgate - Check correct assembly and operation (where fitted) Check all operating modes of the electric tailgate, including operation of the tailgate using interior switches and Remote Keyless Entry transmitter. ?
70 Electric sliding door - Check correct assembly and operation (where fitted) Check all operating modes of the electric sliding door, including its operation using interior switches and Remote Keyless Entry transmitter. ?
71 Safety alarm test (where fitted) Lock all doors using the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter. Check operation of the vehicle safety system warning light. ?
72 Passive Entry (where fitted) Check operation of the Keyless Enter-N-Go system. With the door lock engaged and the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter placed at a distance of 1.5 m from the vehicle, check that the doors open. The door must open automatically. ?
73 Remote Keyless Entry (where fitted) Check that the doors are unlocked correct using all the keys with remote control. ?
74 Remote start (where fitted) Check that the engine starts with all keys using the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter. ?

G - VEHICLE STORAGE

84 Check and adjust the battery charge. Check the battery charge using a digital voltmeter. ?

86 Top up the diesel emissions additive tank Fill the diesel emission additive tank behind the passenger compartment, in the boot on driver's side (clearly indicated in blue) with Mopar diesel emissions additive before delivery to the customer. ?
87 Wash and clean the outside of the vehicle. Wash the vehicle completely. Clean the external part of the tires and of the wheel covers (using non-acid wheel detergents). Clean the windows on the outside and inside. ?
88 Clean the vehicle interior. Check interior trim, seats, upholstery and molding. Clean, if needed. ?
