Fan, Cooling: Installation: 6.2L

  1. Install the upper shroud cover (1). Apply pressure downward until the cover snaps into place past the clips (2).
  2. Install the cooling fan assembly into the vehicle.
  3. Guide the fan/shroud cover assembly into position between the radiator and upper core support.

  4. Position the cooling fan assembly on the mounts (3) located on the radiator.
  5. Lock the fan (1) assembly into place by pressing down firmly on the shroud until the locks (3) engage.
  6. Connect the electric fan wire harness connector (2).

  7. Raise and support the vehicle.
  8. Install the lower cooling shroud cover by applying upward pressure until the cover snaps into place on the cooling fan shroud.
  9. If equipped, install the lower engine cover.
  10. Lower the vehicle.

  11. Connect the front section of the A/C liquid line (3) to the rear section of the A/C liquid line (1).
  12. Install the nut (2) that secures the two sections of the A/C liquid line together. Tighten the nut to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

  13. Install the bolt (2) that secures the A/C liquid line support bracket (3) to the upper radiator support (1). Tighten the bolt securely.
  14. Evacuate the refrigerant system. Adjust the refrigerant oil level. Charge the refrigerant system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  15. Connect the negative battery cable.
  16. Install the air intake assembly.
  17. Start the engine and check fan operation.
