Pump, Water: Installation: 5.7L/6.4L

NOTE:

5.7L shown. 6.4L similar.

Clean the mating surfaces and install the water pump (3). Tighten the mounting bolts to the proper specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS GAS .
Install the upper metal heater tube.
Install the belt tensioner assembly (4). Refer to TENSIONER, BELT, INSTALLATION .
Install the idler pulley (5).
Install the lower radiator hose.
Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
Install the resonator mounting bracket.
Install the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing (1).
Install the air intake assembly. For 5.7L refer to INSTALLATION , For 6.4L Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
Connect the negative battery cable.
Evacuate the air and refill the cooling system. Refer to COOLANT SYSTEM AIR EVACUATION .
Check the cooling system for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
