NOTE:

Transfer the tie rod ends if they are being reused.

NOTE:

If removed, install the power transfer unit . Refer to POWER TRANSFER UNIT, INSTALLATION .

Position the steering gear to the crossmember.
Install the steering gear mounting bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Install the front suspension crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, REAR SUSPENSION, INSTALLATION .
If a NEW steering gear is installed, the Electric Power Steering (EPS) learn procedure is required. Refer to EPS LEARN PROCEDURE .
