Maximum Fuel Pressure

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE  . Connect fuel pressure gauge between main fuel line and fuel filter. Plug or pinch off fuel return hose.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between ground and terminal F/P (Blue/Green wire) of Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located in center rear of engine compartment, in front of bulkhead. Turn ignition on.
  3. Fuel pressure should be 64-85 psi (4.5-6.0 kg/cm2 ). Turn engine off and disconnect jumper wire at DLC. Wait 5 minutes and ensure residual pressure is at least 50 psi (3.5 kg/cm2 ).
  4. If fuel pressure does not meet specifications, check fuel pump circuits, fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel filter and repair or replace as necessary.
