Power Circuits

  1. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Blue/Red wire) of ECM C248 (22-pin) connector. See Fig 1 . If battery voltage is not present, check ROOM fuse in fuse block. Replace fuse as necessary and check for cause of blown fuse.
  2. If fuse is okay, locate and repair open in Blue/Red wire between fuse block and ECM connector. Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage between ground and terminals No. 12 (White/Red wire) of ECM C248 (22-pin) connector and No. 18 (White/Red wire) between ECM C249 (26-pin) connector.
  3. If battery voltage is not present, check ENG fuse and FUEL INJ fuse in engine compartment fuse block. Replace fuse(s) as necessary and check for cause of blown fuse. If fuses are okay, check main relay. See RELAYS  under RELAYS & SOLENOIDS. If relay is okay, locate and repair open between main relay and ECM connector.
