Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

Mass air flow sensor (Hot film type)

Removal

NOTE: Do not drop or subject the sensor to shock Do not put objects inside the sensor.

1. Disconnect mass air flow sensor connector.
2. Loosen air intake hose retaining clamps on both sides of mass air flow sensor.
3. Disconnect air intake hose from mass air flow sensor.
4. Remove two bolts attaching mass air flow sensor to mounting bracket.
5. Remove mass air flow sensor.
