Steering Column/Shaft: Disassembly

Rigidly support steering wheel lock portion of column, and then use a chisel to make a groove (screwdriver slot) in head of two steering lock bolts.
NOTE: Secure column in a vise whose jaws are covered with soft brass or cloth.

Hold steering column in a vise and use a screwdriver to remove lock bolts.
Remove steering lock assembly.

Remove two universal joint pinch bolts from steering column assembly and intermediate shaft.
Remove intermediate shaft pinch bolt.
