Cooling System Specifications
The coolant concentration can be calculated by measuring coolant temperature and specific gravity. After coolant temperature and specific gravity is obtained, a concentration can be calculated using the following chart. See Fig 1. If the concentration of coolant is below 30 percent, the anti-corrosion property will be adversely affected. If the concentration is above 60 percent, both the antifreeze and engine cooling properties will decrease and may adversely affect the engine.
NOTE:
Recommended coolant concentration is 40-50 percent, using only ethylene glycol for aluminum type coolant.
