Cranks Slowly

  1. Check if engine cranks normally when battery is fully charged. If engine cranks normally when battery is fully charged, check charging system. If engine does not crank normally when battery is fully charged, go to next step.
  2. Check starter cable connection for looseness and corrosion. If starter cable connection is loose or has corrosion, repair connection. If starter cable connection is not loose or corroded, check for seized motor armature. Repair or replace as necessary.
