Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor: Inspection

  1. Measure resistance of sensor using ohmmeter.
    COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE

    Water temperature °F (°C) Resistance (KΩ)
    68°F (20°C) 2.45 +/- 0.24
  2. If resistances are not within specification, replace engine coolant temperature sensor.
