SRS Control Module: Installation
- Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
- Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
- Install the SRSCM with the SRSCM mounting nuts.
Tightening torque (SRSCM Mounting nut)
: 1.0-1.4 kgf.m (10.2-13.8 N.m, 7.5-10.2 lb.ft)
NOTE: Use new mounting nuts when replacing the SRSCM after a collision. - Connect the SRSCM harness connector.
- Install the heater ducts and floor console. (Refer to INTERIOR )
- Connect the DAB, PAB, SAB, CAB and BPT connectors.
- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
- After installing the SRSCM, confirm proper system operation:
- Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
