Shift Lever: Installation

Install the retainer and nuts.
TORQUE : 12-15 Nm (1.2-1.5 kgf.m, 8.7-10.8 lb-ft)

NOTE: Install the crush pad and cowl cross bar. (refer to BODY (INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR) and HEATER UNIT )
Install the shift lever assembly (A).
TORQUE :

[A] 2-3 N.m (0.2~0.3 kgf.m, 1.4-2.2 lb-ft)

[B] 9-14 N.m (0.9~1.4 kgf.m, 6.5-10.1 lb-ft)

NOTE: Tighten the two bolts of both side linkage.
TORQUE : 7-8 N.m (0.7-0.8 kgf.m, 5.1-5.8 lb-ft)

[Order of installation]

(1)(temporarily tightening) → (tightening with specified torque) (2) → (3) → (4) → (5) → (6) → (1) → (7) → (8) → (9)

Install the sports mode connector (A).

Install the control cable (A).
CAUTION: Be sure to place the waving shape (B) of the cable shown in the Illustration.

Install the control cable assembly from the transaxle. (Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE )
Install the front console (A).

Install the console upper cover (A).
