SRS Control Module: Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable from battery and wait for at least three minutes.
  2. Remove ignition key from the vehicle.
  3. Install the SRSCM with the SRSCM mounting bolt and nuts.

    Tightening Torque

    : 1.0 ~ 1.4 kgf.m (9.5 ~ 13.6 Nm, 7.0 ~ 10.0 lb. ft)

  4. Connect the SRSCM harness connector.
  5. Install the heater ducts and floor console. (Refer to FLOOR CONSOLE REPLACEMENT and INTERIOR ).
  6. Connect the DAB, PAB, SAB, CAB and BPT connectors.
  7. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
  8. After installing the SRSCM, confirm proper system operation:
    • Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
