Crash Pad Main Replacement
NOTE:
- When prying with a flat-up screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts, to prevent damage.
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Remove the following items.
- Front seat assembly. See REPLACEMENT .
- Cluster fascia panel, cluster. See CLUSTER FASCIA PANEL REPLACEMENT , CLUSTER REPLACEMENT .
- Lower crash pad. See AUDIO ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT .
- Glove box. See AUDIO ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT .
- Side cover. See COVER REPLACEMENT .
- Front pillar trim. See INTERIOR TRIM .
- Center fascia upper, lower cover.
- Cowl side trim. See INTERIOR TRIM .
- Disconnect the passenger' s air bag connector (A).
- Loosen the bolt's and nuts then remove the main crash pad assembly (B).
- Installation is the reverse of removal.NOTE:
- Make sure the crash pad fits on to the guide pins correctly.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure the crash pad wire harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly.
