SRS Control Module: Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) cable from battery and wait for at least three minutes.
  2. Remove ignition key from the vehicle.
  3. Install the SRSCM with the SRSCM mounting bolts.

    Tightening Torque (SRSCM Mounting Bolt):

    1.0-1.4 kgf.m (9.5-13.5 N.m, 7.0-10.0 lb.ft)

  4. Connect the SRSCM harness connector.

  5. Install the floor console.
  6. Connect the DAB, PAB, SAB, CAB and BPT connectors.
  7. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
  8. After installing the SRSCM, confirm proper system operation:
    • Turn ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
