Seat Track Position Sensor (STPS): Installation

CAUTION: Ensure that the harness is installed and routed properly to prevent damage to the wiring.

Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
Install the STPS with two screws.
Install the front seat assembly. Refer to SEATS .
Reconnect the battery negative cable.
After installing the Seat Track Position Sensor, confirm proper system operation:
Turn the ignition switch ON, the SRS indicator should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
